Motion Graphics Animation

The world of 2D animation is a fascinating and nostalgic one. Perhaps another advantage of 2D animation software is that it uses less RAM and CPU resources. Since I didn’t have a powerful laptop but had a passion for animation, I started with simple 2D animations. Of course, my longstanding weakness in drawing may have limited my ability to bring all my ideas to life. Nevertheless, I tried my best to improve in this field. Years ago, I became familiar with Macromedia Flash. At the time, Macromedia was considered a competitor to Adobe and had its own unique style. The most captivating websites were the full Flash websites, which even supported databases. During those years, I worked on creating multimedia CDs and Flash websites until Adobe acquired Macromedia. Over time, however, the popularity of Flash began to decline.

Adobe even changed the name Adobe Flash to Adobe Animate, which is still capable of producing interesting work. For instance, the 2D animation Big Sir, which you can see on this page. The animation segment was presented as part of the Animation Techniques course, and its sound design was part of a project for the Sound Design course at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin. One of the most challenging parts of this 2D animation was designing the various rooster beak shapes for the rooster character’s speech scenes.

Another favorite software of mine is Adobe After Effects, which is like a combination of Adobe Premiere and Adobe Animate. For example, my Video Editing course project was completed using Adobe After Effects. This software is unparalleled when it comes to motion graphics projects.

I aim to gradually enhance this page with more samples of my 2D animation and motion graphics work.
